Luxurious & Stylish Alternative to Shell Jackets

  • "Function camouflaged as tailoring"
  • Raincoat/Wind blocker disguised as a fashion jacket
  • When you want a technical outwear shell jacket, but don't want the camping look
  • Waterproof & Lightweight
  • Made in EU

We love technical shells as much as the next person for pure camping and hiking trips, but what about inclusive trips where you visit both mountains and cities?  When you are hiking one day, and dining in at a fancy restaurant the next - what do you wear on the outside?

The Nesta Falck is the adult traveller's alternative to the camping shell jackets that is equally at home on a hike as it is in an urban environment.

On the outside it's a simple casual military-inspired piece that you can wear anywhere.  But on the inside, it's made from high-tech fabric from Japan that's waterproof and breathable, with hidden technology such as water tunnels (to keep water out), ventilation (so it can be worn in warmer climates) and detachable hoods that are no less technical than the most advanced hiking jackets out there.

It's a rare and unique alternative to the camping brands that's ubiquitous everywhere, and for travellers who want to carry a low-key but uniquely adventurous look.

A satorical take on waterproof, extreme outwear inspired by Japanese sensibility & life in Bergen - the rainiest city of Europe.

We did a mash up of Bob Nesta Marley’s army fatigue jacket and Alex’s grandfather's (named Falck) jacket. Safari meets army fatigues with soft relaxed pleated pockets. The pockets on this piece redefines and captures the element of cool and the sartorial. Meet Nesta Falck!

NOTES & RECOMMENDATIONS
  • The colours are fairly accurate to the model photos.
  • Material feel textured in hand, with a cotton-like look and texture.  Not shiny.
  • Fit is loose, roomy and large, as an outer shell should be.  My personal size is usually either M, sometimes S and I'm an S in this jacket.

In the rainiest city of Europe - Bergen, Norway - an award winning project was evolved from raining 2 out of 3 days.  With an uncompromising attention to handcraft, comfort and style, bespoke tailor T-Michael and creative directon Alexander Helle have revamped the category of waterproof outwear.  Function camouflaged as tailoring.  The high tech is hidden.
